Welcome to the November Angels Landing Blog Hop. If you missed the beginning, head over to Judi’s digital stamps blog and follow the links. Today the Design Team is introducing two new digital image sets for November, Polar Bear Cubs and Button Bugs.
I love the wonderful, sweet expressions that Judi gives her images and this polar bear is no exception.

**ETA - For those of you asking, the cocoa mix in a cone came premixed and prepackaged. I did however find a mix recipe at the Nestle site HERE. The only thing my prepackaged mix had that’s not mentioned in the recipe is some chocolate chips layered between the cocoa and the mini marshmallows.
I decided to make a tag for this hot chocolate mix that I’ll give as a gift. I added loads of sparkle with Star Dust Stickles and also added Ranger Glossy Accents to the little cub’s eyes and nose to make them shine. The words come as one sentiment but I cut them apart to place them on the tag. As an added bonus, the tag can be removed and used as an ornament.

Your next stop on the Blog Hop is >>Cheryl’s blog<<
If you get lost along the way, check the master list on Judi’s digital stamps blog. Thanks for visiting, and I hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the hop.
And if you get a chance, you should really check out the fun Our Craft Lounge birthday bash challenges HERE!

Cathy has provided us with a beautiful warm color combination this week for the Color Throwdown. It’s just perfect for this time of year…fall and Christmas!

We’re lucky enough to be sponsored by Flourishes this week! We were all so excited to be able to work with their gorgeous stamps! My choice was the Seasonal Wreaths. Just perfect, no matter what time of year it is! Here’s my winter card:

There are 3 layers to the wreath. Each one is trimmed a little differently and attached using foam tape, providing additional dimension and texture. The top layer of the wreath, the edge of the sentiment circle, and all the brown branches are coated with a thin layer of Rock Candy Distress stickles for a beautiful subtle glazed look.

Be sure to check out all the gorgeous DT creations here:

Hello, everyone!
I’ve accepted a position on the design team for Just For Fun Rubber Stamps. They have some very unique and beautiful images and I’m excited to get to play with them!
My card today uses the North Pole Post stamp. I’m a sucker for penguins and I love this guy! He’s stamped in black directly onto the Eskimo Kisses paper, then coated with Ranger Distress rock candy crackle paint.

I’ve used the MOJO111 sketch and what a great one it is! The Heidi Swapp clear ghost star was painted on the back using a Ranger silver acrylic paint dabber, then coated on the front with Glossy Accents and Flora Craft diamond dust glass flakes.
I’m very excited to be working with Just For Fun Rubber Stamps and the super talented design team. I hope you’ll visit them and give them some stamping love:

This week’s Angels Landing challenge for the design team was to use sewing (real or faux.) I chose to use my sewing machine…I certainly need the practice! But I got so carried away coloring the image and matching the patterned paper that I almost forgot to use sewing at all!
This is my newest favorite holiday color combo - red, aqua and brown. Bright and happy, yet warm and yummy !

I used several brown Copic markers to make the frame have a woodgrain look. The smaller brown layer and the aqua layer are dry embossed and the sewing actually attaches the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly patterned paper to the larger brown layer.
All the berries and ornaments are covered in fired brick Distress stickles.
You can see all the beautiful design team creations by going to the Angels Landing blog.
Thanks for stopping by to check in today!

I love this magical Christmas tree. But I have to confess that I didn’t realize it was a tree at first. After all, the name of the Rubbernecker stamp set is Snowflakes and Stardust. And I used the swirly image as stardust on THIS CARD.
So when my friends starting making comments about how I used the “tree” image, I thought “huh?” Silly me! I get it now! Blonde, ya know!

The brown tree is stamped on watercolor paper using Ranger Archival ink so it wouldn’t bleed. Then I misted the paper and stamped the “leaves” (stardust) in 4 different shades of green. When that was dry I stamped the garland in melon and the star on top in curry (no misting).
After the image was cut using a Labels 4 Nestabilities die and while the die was still attached, I sponged a little melon ink on the sides. Then I smushed a glue pad along the sides and randomly over the image and sprinkled on glass glitter.
I also used the glitter on the sentiment panel. It’s hard to tell, but there’s a tiny yellow rhinestone on the star.
That’s it…my magical stardust Christmas tree!! Thanks for stopping by!

- Stamps: Snowflakes & Stardust (481) (Rubbernecker Stamps)
- Paper: watercolor paper, melon, Eskimo Kisses (Basic Grey)
- Ink: Ranger Archival - coffee; wasabi, olive, kiwi, melon, curry, artichoke

My card today was so totally inspired by Nichole Heady’s snowy layers card HERE. I always love the fresh, clean, simple yet beautiful style of all of her creations.
I’ve used the new Rubbernecker Snowflakes & Stardust set for my simple, shimmery card. The snow swirl, the star and the top edges of each of the snowy layers were all created using Versamark and Stardust embossing powder. So shimmery in real life!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

OH MY GOSH! You won’t believe how wonderful these new images are!!! I’m so totally in love with these precious Emperor penguin chicks. Ok, before I get too carried away, let’s get down to business.
Welcome to the October Angels Landing Blog Hop. If you missed the beginning, head over to Judi’s digi-stamps blog and follow the links. Today the Design Team is introducing two new digital image sets for October, Season’s Tweetings and Penguin Chicks.
I chose to use 2 of the adorable Penguin Chicks for my project.
It’s getting close to Christmas. I know! It seems like we just had it, doesn’t it? Well, I’ve started making each of my daughters a December album each year for them to document the events in their household leading up to Christmas. What better time than now and what better images to use than these chicks?

~
This is very sparkly in real life. Here are a couple of close ups.
If you click on the photo of the chicks, you can see that their coats are all sparkly with snow (Ranger Distress stickles - Rock Candy).

~
To celebrate the new releases, I’m offering some Blog Candy. One lucky winner will receive free download links for his or her choice of any two image sets shown in the Digital Stamps Products section of AngelsLanding.com. Kai in the Snow – that’s the name of this darling little baby playing in the snow. It’s a digital image from Mo Manning from Mo’s Digital Pencil. What a talent! I’ve totally fallen in love with her images. You may recall my card made with Swine Flu. That was a Mo image too.
There’s a challenge blog for Mo’s Digital Pencil now as well. You can find it HERE. The very first challenge is to use “perple” (as Bella would spell it).
Here’s my card for the challenge:

I used 3 different Spellbinders products on the card - the Fleur de Lis Pendant, a snowflake from Snowflake Wonder dies, and a scallop square Nestabilities die. Fun! The snow that Kai is sitting on and that’s falling around him is glitterfied with Icicle Stickles and the white glittery border around the edge of the card uses Stardust Stickles.
Thanks for stopping by to look!

that I’d show you this Purr-fect Wishes card when I finished it, so here it is.
I used my Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder Poseabilities dies with Prism classic red paper and K & Company Glitter paper pack - the Fresh Paint collection. And I was totally impressed that when I ran my image with the Sparkly Fluff already on it through the Wizard with the circle Nestabilities die, not a single bit of the Sparkly Fluff came off. It’s still just as fluffy as ever!! Woo hoo!

Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a wonderful day!!
