According to UrbanDictionary.com, the definition of “Emo” is:

Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.

This would be my niece and nephew.  I don’t understand it, but then my parents didn’t understand it when I was in love with the Beatles either!

My niece’s favorite band’s trademark is a skull with wings, so this Inkadinkadoo stamp set was perfect for her.  And she LOVES her birthday card/bookmark!

Here are a few close-ups of the details.  There are a lot of Tim Holtz products used.  Hmm.  I wonder if Tim would mind being classified as Emo here?

I made sure that when I was clear embossing the stamped images that some of the sponged Distress ink background was still wet as well, so there would be random texture.  I also added milled lavender and fired brick Stickles in various places.

Thanks for checking in with me!  Have a great day!

Usually they grow up just fine, thank goodness. Wow! This is pretty awesome, Broni! I think it passes the grunge look, alright. I’ve never heard of Emo, though. No teenagers at my house.

What a cool bookmark! I don’t understand that whole genre either. But I loved Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones and no one understood why (then AND now…I still love them!).

I couldn’t contact you through email, so I’m leaving you my email address here:
