Hi everyone! It’s time for Wacky Wednesday #4 and I’m your hostess this week!
My challenge to you is to create an Easter card for a child. That should be an easy one! I have several really cute Rubbernecker Easter images and decided to make a trio of children’s cards. This is my Little Lamb card.

~
~
~
Isn’t she cute?
All of the cards use the same layout, colors, papers and embellishments. Basically the only thing different is the image.
This made it easy for me to create the 3 cards almost as quickly as one would have taken. Except for the image coloring time, of course!

It’s time for Color Throwdown #35. Hard to believe we’ve been doing this for 35 weeks already! It’s been so much fun!
I’ll be the first to admit that today’s color combination was a tough one! There’s not much stamping and absolutely no coloring on this card, but it took me much longer than usual to put these colors together! Here they are:

And here’s what I FINALLY came up with:

Now don’t shy away from this color combo! I really can’t wait to see what you come up with! You should visit the other design team member’s blogs for more inspiration:
You can also check them out on the Color Throwdown blog. And that’s where you’ll link your creation so we can all check it out!

My good friend Sherry decided to tag me a couple of days ago and it looked like it would be fun, so I’m playing along! The tag is to open the My Pictures folder on your computer, open the 6th folder and then post the 6th photo.
This is my 6th in the 6th:

This was taken from the balcony of a beach house in Edisto, SC, looking out to the bay. There were dolphins everywhere that week. We had so much fun watching them play and I just couldn’t get enough pictures of them.
Just for fun, here are a few more from that peaceful, relaxing week:

And here’s another one from that week that is probably one of my most favorites from all the pictures I’ve ever taken:

Thanks for allowing me to share some favorite memories!!
The rules for this tag are as follows:
•Open your photo folder on your computer
•Open the 6th folder of photos
•Select the 6th picture
•Post the picture on your blog with a description
•Invite six friends to join the challenge
•Link your six friends to your blog post
Here are my 6 friends that I’m tagging and asking to play along:
Barbara, Cathy, Danielle, LeAnne, Tammy and Christine
After looking at all these pictures from the beach, I’m really ready for summer!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

Hi, y’all! Happy Wednesday to you!
Wednesdays are always fun for me…..I actually get to show you 2 cards! First is my card for this week’s Color Throwdown challenge. This week our hostess with the mostess is Barbara! And she chose 3 colors that I don’t know if I would have ever purposely put together:

But I’m happy with how these 3 colors came together on my Baby Girl card. I used Jenn’s sketch for this week WSC72. If you haven’t seen the projects she made with this sketch yet, you really should check them out HERE. They’re gorgeous!!

This was a fun card to make. I loved the sketch and had a blast die-cutting all the flowers and coloring the adorable baby. The peas (well, that’s what kiwi kiss reminds me of) on her face were coated with a clear glaze pen.
Be sure to check out all the designer’s cards here:
And check out all the details on how to play along with us here - Color Throwdown. Now don’t go too far, because I’ll be posting my entry for this week’s Wacky Wednesday challenge soon!!

Woo hoo! It’s Wacky Wednesday, y’all! What’s Wacky about it? Well, each week one of the Rubbernecker designers will be presenting you with a different challenge. And you never know what it’s going to be! What fun!!

This week it’s Ms. Kittie’s turn. She’s asked us to make a card with a fold that’s different from the norm. Be sure to check out her designer introduction HERE. What a cutie she is!!
I was going to make a gate fold card - wouldn’t that be just perfect with a gate image? Well, it just wouldn’t work for me, so I opted for one of my favorite alternate folds - a Rose Ann Reynolds flap card. She wrote an excellent tutorial HERE. Thanks, Rose Ann! These cards never fail to impress whomever receives them!

The only thing I altered with this card is the flap itself. Instead of using a scalloped circle on the flap, I used the leaves image from the Kittie Kit - Master #1 to form a tree overhanging the gate. The image is the perfect shape of a hanging branch, but I think it would also make a beautiful bunch of grapes. (Hmmm, I’ll have to try that too!)
Be sure to visit the Rubbernecker design team’s blogs to see their alternate fold cards:
And we hope you’ll join us in the challenge. You have a great chance of winning 25% off your next Rubbernecker order! Check out all the details HERE. And link your creation to today’s Rubbernecker blog post using Mister Linky.
Let’s see your folds, girls (and guys)!!!
Thanks for visiting!

- Stamps: Garden Gate (354-02), grass & leaves from Kittie Kit - Master #1
- Paper: white, cameo coral
- Ink: Memento - tuxedo black, Adirondack - willow, lettuce, pesto
- Other: Eclipse tape, coluzzle, Sakura clear glaze pen, Basic Grey magnetic snaps, ribbon, Copic markers:

It’s time for another Color Throwdown challenge! Even though these are some of my favorite colors, I don’t know that I would have ever put them together! Leave it to Cathy to come up with unusual and wonderful combos!!

What do you think? It’s cool, huh?
I couldn’t find any patterned paper with these colors. Um, let me rephrase that….I couldn’t find any patterned paper (in my mountains of the stuff) with these colors that I felt like using, so I decided to go strictly with cardstock. I don’t remember the last time I did that!

This was a fun card to make and I got to use my new Bigz Beautiful Butterflies die. It works really well with the smaller Martha Stewart butterfly punch, don’t you think? The grungeboard swirl was colored with a Tempting Turquoise marker and the cute little velvet flower stickers started out white, but got a purple coat with a Copic marker. I’m not sure if you can see it, but the white layer was clear embossed with my Diamond Background stamp. With the clear embossing and the Shimmerz on the green butterfly, this card really shines IRL!
Please check out the creations of our talented design team here:
You’re going to play along with us, right? We certainly hope so! Check out all the details here: Color Throwdown #33

Sorrowfully, I needed a sympathy card to send out today. It’s always hard to make a sympathy card, but I find is especially hard when it’s for a man. I wanted to keep it simple and somber, yet not dreary. I hope I accomplished this.
I decided to try to use Kazan’s sketch 21 for this week’s 2 Sketches 4 You challenge, and to use one of my new Stampin’ Up! sets called Thoughts & Prayers. It really is a beautiful set!

I’m going to make this a short post. I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that we’re finally getting warmer weather. It was in the upper 70’s here today! But we’re losing an hour’s worth of sleep tonight, and after spending 5 straight hours cleaning out my flower beds and trimming back all my hydrangeas, butterfly bushes, and lantana, I really need some rest (and a couple of Aleve, I’m afraid!).
Thanks for stopping by! And don’t forget you still have a couple of days to make an ATC (see mine HERE) for Rubbernecker’s Wacky Wednesday challenge. You could win one of three certificates for 25% off your entire order from the Rubbernecker website!

Remember that song? Well, that’s how I feel because Taylor asked me to be her Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! She chose my iris card as her favorite from last week’s entries! How cool is that?! I was flabbergasted! Woo hoo!
After I calmed down (!), I was trying to decide what to do with this week’s sketch. Since Taylor is the Queen of Cupcakes, I decided to use my Cupcake Mice. They’re so cute and sweet. I paired it with the perfect little sentiment from Taylor’s A Year of Sweet Sentiments set.

~
It was definitely a little tough pairing this image with the sketch-

I struggled with cutting up the 3 different layers and getting them all lined up properly. In the end, I think I’m satified with the result.
Thank you, Taylor, for granting me the honor of being this week’s Featured Cupcake Sampler.
And thanks to you all for stopping by to see me today! Have a wonderful weekend!
