Glitter and Lace

There’s lots of sparkle on this card!  I’m home from work today, so I decided to play along with the Technique Lovers Challenge on Splitcoast.  Today’s challenge (TLC202) is to create a background using tacky tape and glitter.  Well I got started, then completely veered off course.  At least I ended up with a Valentine’s Day card I can use!

I started with Kazan’s sketch this week at 2 Sketches 4 You.  I’ve been wanting to play along using their sketches, but until now haven’t had a chance.  I always love looking at their design team’s examples….beautiful!

Glitter & Lace

I did get one stripe of glitter down the side of the pink panel, but that’s the only stripe I created!  The pink card base is stamped in white craft ink with my Diamond background and glittered with Diamond Dust.  The Baroque Heart is stamped in white craft and also glittered.  I used a glittery scalloped ribbon also, so I thought several stripes of glitter might be a little too much.  Besides, I’m covered in it now!
