Color Throwdown 18

Make a Wish Fairy crop

It’s time for another Color Throwdown challenge!! And we have an announcement!! There’s a new design team member….Kimberly Crawford! She’s amazing! Check out her blog and then head over to the Color Throwdown blog for this week’s challenge details.

This week’s colors just screamed woodland to me. So I decided to use my Beautiful Fairies by Inkadinkado again this week. (Sorry, but you may be seeing a lot of this set!) Of course she’s colored with Copic markers. After I colored her, I decided that I wanted to use Beate’s sketch of the week WSC 64.

I cut the circle element around the fairy with a circle Nestabilities die and a craft knife, and I like the way it almost looks like she’s flying in front of the moon. Well, it does to me, anyway!

I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder for the chocolate and pale plum layers. I only embossed a portion of the pale plum one and scored a couple of lines with my Scor-Pal to delineate between the sentiment portion and the background portion. The scalloped edges were made using a Fiskars Threading Water punch. I popped up the old olive layer and also the perfect plum circle. I outlined the wings and the wand and stars with metallic gelly roll pens.

Please be sure to check out the beautiful designs of the other team members:

We’d love for you to play along. Just place a direct link to your card in the comment section of today’s Color Throwdown blog post. If you post to Splitcoast, please use the keyword CTD18.
