On to the card:
These images are from the new KK Originals Cowboy section at Rubbernecker Stamp Co. And I LOVE cowboys!!! You know the song…..”Save a horse, etc. etc.!!”
All the edges are distressed and sponged with Ranger Distress Frayed Burlap ink. The rope and boots are colored with Copic markers and each have 2 layers, attached with mounting tape for extra dimension. The Howdy tag was stamped with Adirondack Espresso ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. It is also on mounting tape. To tone down the brightness of the vanilla layer, I used the Frayed Burlap ink and my ink blending tool and pounced on the the vanilla layer as well as the tag and both the rope and boots. This really adds to the distressed look. I only had vanilla colored twill and it was too bright as well, so I just colored it with my Copic BG72 marker. A pretty good match!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog today! Don’t forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win some blog candy, and for goodness sake, head over to Rubbernecker (get the first clue from Shelly) to search for a free prize!!!
