Star Dance – Just for fun

Published by at 8:34 am under Card Designs,Rubbernecker

Woo hoo!  I finally used my Ranger Alcohol inks, blending solution, and applicator after owning them for …oh, let’s just say months!

I created my version of Cindy Lyle’s alcohol ink tutorial on SCS with Butterscotch, Stream and Wild Plum – the Nature Walk color palette – and another with just the Butterscotch on glossy white cardstock.  I stamped the Star Dance image on both using black StazOn, then cut the stars out of the Butterscotch layer with my craft knife and paper snips.  I attached the Butterscotch stars to the other layer with small pieces of mounting tape.

Half of the Star Dance image was stamped in Versamark on the small yellow strip and matted on black cardstock.  Then I tied my ribbon around this panel.  I attached the lavender layer to the black card base, and stamped The Stars Exist Text sentiment at the bottom of the card.  The star layer and the yellow strip were then added to the lavender layer.  I also added a small star rhinestone to the bottom of the card.

All the images and supplies used can be found at Rubbernecker.

And speaking of Rubbernecker, today is Treasure Hunt Tuesday Check out Sherry’s blog for your first clue to find the treasure.  The treasure, if you find it, will be a free image with any purchase.  And did you know that for every $50 spent on stamps, you get a free image of your choice?  Check out all the details here.

Thanks for visiting me today!  Please come back soon!
